Far better late than never in this case, we gotta pay respects to the late, great Gil Scott-Heron, who passed away in the early hours May 28/11 after returning from his European tour. One of the most influential artists of his generation, his words and poetic style have affected every generation of hip hop since his popularity began in the 70s; where he began his long-time collaboration with composer-keyboardist-flutist Brian Jackson and his long list of album releases took off.
