The first sub|division of 2011 was such a fantastic display of everything that has us excited going into this year: top-notch international talent, diverse sets from our team, an energized crowd, fresh new visuals & an overall party vibe that had the mutual exchange between performers & crowd pumping all night.

Our hat goes off to dÉbruit – a complete gentleman, his set ran through all forms of his own personalized future-funk, from the wonky 92bpm crunk of his opening session right up to the percussion-heavy 130bpm Congolese-funk-house toward the end. All the bangers we were hoping for made it in there, most notably “I’m Goin’ With You” & “Congo Whoomp”. And his re-twerk of Ginuwine’s “Pony” – JESUS!

Fantastic opening sets from Rhythmicon & KMT got things poppin – Rhythmicon blended dub, some steppers & some grime into a fluid salvo of bass weight while KMT brought the trap – nice to hear some Gucci & some boomin’ 808s up the joint.

And the crowd, MAD UPS TO Y’ALL. Dope to see everyone up for new styles – as long as you there bustin’ out on the d-flo, we will bring the ruck.
